Don't miss the last few days of Miss Ruby's Anniversary Sale going on now through September 30th. Stop by the store for $50 to $100 off all bridal gown orders plus take an additional $50 off Jennifer Leigh Veils with the purchase of a gown. All bridesmaids and mom's save $15 off their dress purchases as well. If you don't have time to stop by before the anniversary sale ends, make sure to put the Siri Bridal & Aria Bridal Trunk Show on your calendar that takes place at Miss Ruby from November 18th - 20th. Trunk shows are great opportunities to try on bridal gowns that are not normally at the boutique. As an added bonus, Miss Ruby is offering a special discount on orders placed during the show for gowns in these collections. Miss Ruby is currently the only retailer in Wisconsin who carries both the Siri and Aria bridal collections so the trunk show is an extra special event for anyone who can see themselves in one of these gorgeous creations: Miss Ruby is located at 522 N. Water Street, Suite 203 http://www.missrubyboutique.com/
Just remember, if shopping with your entire bridal party posse an appointment is required.

You've found your perfect dress, now don't forget about the special accessories to pull together your wedding look! For an extra special touch take a look at Designs by Ambiana, a local designer featuring custom made purses, clutches and wristlets sold on Etsy. For her custom designs, she will work with you by either taking fabric left over from your wedding dress alterations or will send you swatches of fabric she has on hand for you to choose the perfect color to match your dress. This is also a fabulous idea for bridesmaid gifts! Short on time? She has plenty of fashionable pieces on her website which can be purchased right away. Here are two of my favorites. The lace overlay on this wristlet makes it classic enough for even the most formal of ceremonies while the chain wrist strap adds some flair. The wristlets below would be perfect bridesmaid accessories. Again, the chain adds the a little edge but if you are looking for a more classic style, a beaded strap can be substituted for the chain. All designs can be seen at http://www.etsy.com/shop/DesignsByAmbiana?ref=seller_info
My guess is that if you take a look at this store, you'll find something not only for your wedding but for next weekend as well. Happy Shopping! While very few brides can afford to walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown, inspiration can be taken from her Spring 2012 collection. A quote from Vera Wang on her website states the the inspiration for this collection comes from "An Ode to the Paris Opera: Degas . . . young dancers floating above the stage. Artful and Adorable!"
The dresses are extremely romantic and come in an array of colors including celadon, rose and stone. You can see the entire collection here: http://www.verawang.com/veraunveiled/2011/04/spring-2012-bridal-collection/ While the closest Vera Wang bridal boutique is in Chicago, the White collection by Vera Wang can be found at David's Bridal which will showcase the same trends for a fraction of the cost. Want to look like Kim Kardashian on your big day? In February, the White collection will feature redesigned versions of two of the designer dresses Kim wore to wed Kris Humphries last month, including the romantic ballgown she wore to walk down the aisle as well as the sexier mermaid gown worn at her reception. While they won't be exact replicas, bargain hunters will be quite pleased with the $1,600 price tag. Sometimes all it takes are a few simple pieces to tie your theme together. I'm constantly looking for local vendors with unique items that can be incorporated into your wedding day! Check back soon for details and photos on a few items I've fallen in love with lately.
